1. The Holy Scripture

The Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God (2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Pet 1:20-21). The Bible is the very Word of God written down through His chosen process of dual authorship, that is, God used human authors to pen down his Words. The Holy Spirit miraculously moved each author to write down the Word of God, however, God did this miracle through the means of using each author’s individual personality and style (2 Pet 1:20-21). As the Word of God, the Bible has supreme authority on any topic it makes reference to, however, its primary purpose is in relation to salvation, faith and practice (Matt 5:18; 24:35, Joh 10:35; 16:12-13; 17:17; 20:31, 1 Cor 2:13, 2 Tim 3:15-17, Heb 4:12; 2 Pet 1:20-21).
