About Trinity Christian Church

Trinity, as a distinctive attribute of the God of the Bible, is central as God ultimately owns the church – He has purchased it with His own blood. We believe that before anything else, the name of our church should have the owner’s name on it. Trinity, or rather the doctrine of the Trinity is a fundamental Christian Doctrine (see our Statement of Faith) which if misunderstood undermines the work of salvation which is central to the Gospel message we are called to share.

Christian simply means “follower of Christ” as the followers of Jesus were first called Christians in Antioch (Acts 11:26). As a result, we believe that it is important to include the name Christian to announce and remind ourselves that we are not followers of Apollos, Cephas, Paul or even our Pastor and Elders, but Christ.

Church, as revealed in the Bible, is God’s designation for the assembly of people called by His name. To borrow the words of Grace Community Church, “as such, our course has been charted by God; our destiny has been planned by God; our members have been chosen by God; our purposes have been defined by God.”

In summary, our name Trinity Christian Church communicates that the one Triune God is the head of the Church, we are His followers and we gather to worship and glorify Him.
